    Please join NCLA's Young Adult Service Division as we welcome YA authors Claire Ahn, Mackenzie Reed, and Olivia Worley for YASD's Annual June Brunch Event on Tuesday, June 4th, from 9:30 am- 11:30 am at the main branch of the Long Beach Public Library. 

    Claire Ahn, Mackenzie Reed, and Olivia Worley are all debut YA authors working on their next novels. Join us as we talk to them about the publishing and writing process, and all things YA! The first 30 registrants will receive a copy of one of the authors books and all attendees will receive a YASD branded gift.

    Cost: $20 for members, $35 for non-members

    Two Contact Hours will be awarded.

    Please join NCLA's Support Staff Division at a social event this Spring!  Join us at the Argyle Theater for A Bronx Tale Thursday, June 6th, at 7:30 pm.

    Synopsis: 

    Based on the critically acclaimed play that inspired the now classic film, this streetwise musical will take you to the stoops of the Bronx in the 1960s—where a young man is caught between the father he loves and the mob boss he’d love to be. Featuring a book by Academy Award nominee Chazz Palminteri, music by Oscar, Grammy, and Tony Award winner Alan Menken, and lyrics by Grammy Award winner and Oscar and Tony Award nominee Glenn Slater, A Bronx Tale is a story about respect, loyalty, love, and above all else: family.

    Cost: $65 for members, $80 for non-members
