Library Marketing When You're Doing Everything Yourself
Monday, November 9 @ 2pm EST Zoom – Registration Required CEUs will be given
Many small libraries don't have dedicated marketing staff, graphic designers, or large budgets, but they still need to reach their communities, promote services, and demonstrate value. In this program, led by Angela Hursh, the Brand & Communication Director for the Cincinnati & Hamilton County Public Library, you'll learn practical, realistic marketing strategies designed specifically for libraries where staff are balancing multiple responsibilities at once. Discover how to improve visibility, create consistent messaging, promote programs more effectively, and build stronger awareness without adding overwhelming amounts of work.
You will also learn how to:
1. Identify practical marketing strategies that work for small libraries
2. Create more consistent and effective library messaging
3. Prioritize marketing efforts based on staff time and community needs
4. Develop sustainable workflows that reduce stress and improve outreach
In addition to her role as Brand & Communication Director at the Cincinnati & Hamilton County Public Library, Angela Hursh spent 20 years as an Emmy-award-winning broadcast TV journalist and was a 2023 Library Journal Mover & Shaker.
