We will also be installing the YASD officers and announcing the winners of the Excellence in Programming Award. All Registrants will receive a copy of Lyssa's book, Revelle.
Lyssa Mia Smith is the author of Revelle, which was named Teen Book of the Month for March 2023 by Chapters Indigo and one of the best books of 2023. It was a finalist for the 2023 CYBILS award in YA Speculative Fiction, and is being translated into six additional language. She has a Ph.D. in clinical psychology with an expertise in adolescent trauma. Lyssa cohosts Turning To Story, a craft-focused podcast and blog aimed at helping writers at all levels keep the joy in their writing.
A lifelong New Yorker, Lyssa lives on Long Island with her partner, their two young children, and her rambunctious dog, Nessie. She is currently wrapping up her sophomore YA romantic fantasy, which is being published by Harper Teen.
