invite you to a Zoom Program
GTX Film Festival & How It Went Virtual
Tuesday, October 6, 2020
10:00 – 11:30 am
The Georgetown Texas Film Festival is an independent film festival and conference which showcases national and international films and hosts panels by local industry experts. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 GTX Film Festival was postponed to June 11-13, 2020, when it went virtual. Executive Director Cindy Weigand will discuss how she established the GTX Film Festival in 2016, how it went virtual in 2020, and highlight some of this year’s winners. She will share some film clips, interview clips, and other interesting insights.
Some of the independent filmmakers are willing for their movies to be shown at libraries, plus attend film discussion programs via Zoom (some for free or for a nominal fee). Following the program, registrants will receive contact information to these filmmakers. A great opportunity for media and library programmers to offer new programs!
CEU for 1.5 Contact Hours will be awarded.
